Louis F Dow building
Started in 1899 as a manufacturer of banking supplies, the Louis F. Dow Company eventually branched out into creating promotional products, advertising specialties and business gifts.
In 1937 the Dow company hired St. Paul resident Gil Elvgren to paint a series of pin-up girls and he produced paintings there until 1944. Ruth Deckard was another pinup artist who worked for the Dow Company.
